Terms of Hire

 Car Hire Rules

1. Please NO SMOKING- This is a smoke free vehicle, a cleaning fee of $400 will be charged if smoking occurs.

2. Please return the vehicle in the same state you received it- If returned in a less than acceptable state (As it has been received) and excessive cleaning is required, a cleaning surcharge of $250 will be charged.

3. Unlimited Km’s- Please feel free to enjoy as many of Tasmania’s remote gems as possible with our unlimited Km’s policy with any rental.

4. No unsealed roads- Please only travel on sealed roads. Excessive paint damage resulting travelling on unsealed roads will result in standard paint restoration charge of $500, and in cases of major damage to paint work hire’re is liable up to full Insurance Liability ($4000 maximum liability or $4500 if aged between 21-26)

5. Please return within 12 hours of scheduled drop off (unless previously notification of delay is made to us), if not vehicle will be reported as stolen to the appropriate authorities.

6. In the case of a break down or mechanical issue please call NM towing on 0499 056 311. (If no answer please call mike on 0417 141 046) Associated costs with breakdown will be charged in accordance with terms and conditions listed in the hire agreement.

7. In the case of an accident, once everyone is safe and secure, please call the police on “000” to report the incident. Following this please contact tassie trippers on (03) 6311 1892 (7 days, 8am-6pm).

8. Excess and Insurance- standard insurance that comes with any Tassie Trippers rental has a maximum liability to the here’re of  $4000 ($4500 ages 21-26).
